32 Group was formed in December 1939, this covers the period through WWII to the Stand Down in 1945, and reactivated in 1947. 32 Group was redesignated as No 22 Group under re-organisation of 1953. The Corps then undertook a Nuclear Role in the mid 1950’s, with the new 22 Group Control became active in 1962.

Huntingdon’s Funeral Company’s underground stables West Walls, Carlisle 1939 to 1941.
10 Norfolk Road, Carlisle 1941 to 1962. [This becomes 22 Group in 1953 closes in 1962 – when the new Control opens at RAF Carlisle.]
